Godwin the chairman and the committee hope you will find the
following data of interest and will encourage you to join us in
promoting poetry in the Medway Towns and Kent. Whether you write or
read or just love listening to poetry, any age, there is a place
here for you.

The
Medway Hour of Poetry

|
The Rainham Poetry Group will be presenting poetry readings on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Listen live on Radio Sunlight. To find out more, visit Sunlight Development Trust and follow the links to Radio Sunlight.
|
The presenter will be
Terry Godwin, local poet noted for his humorous and romantic public
readings. Poets of all ages are invited to send in poems they have
written, which they would like to read, or have read for them.
We shall be devoting time to children’s poetry.
These poems should be sent to Kath Wayman who will decide
which poems will be suitable to be read. We wish to encourage
all poets of all ages to send in their own written poetry. We
will collate the best poems received and they will be published
in a book at the end of the year. Profits from the sale of the
books will be donated to the Sunlight Trust who are supporting
this project.
Poets interested must send their poems in on A4 paper
typed in large type and not more than 6 at a time,
and confirm they have written their poems themselves if
we publish their poems. The Kent Community Foundation is
supporting us. |

Here is your opportunity to read your poetry and have it published!
